Itasca Consultants is pleased to offer an upcoming training course for FLAC3D, version 6. The course consists of three days of general feature training addressing basic concepts and recommended procedures for geotechnical numerical analysis.


Marco Camusso

Dr. Camusso is a civil engineer with over seven years of experience in geotechnical and rock mechanics. His consulting activities have been carried out primarily in design verification of tunnel supports and the modeling of the rock’s long term behavior for the design of nuclear and toxic waste disposal sites. Most of Dr. Camusso’s numerical modeling expertise comes from using Itasca's FLAC and FLAC3D codes.

Daniel Billaux

Dr. Billaux’s expertise is in numerical modeling, fractured rock hydrogeology and geo­mechanics. He has developed and applied numerical models to simulate the flow of water in fractured rock. He has been a program manager for projects in the area of nuclear-waste storage and geothermal energy and has provided con­sulting on many mining and civil engineering pro­jects.
