Rima Ghazal has worked on numerical modeling of underground excavations and their support in continuous and discontinuous rock masses. She was also involved in stability analysis of underground excavations under seismic load. Rima is currently working on a research project about rock mass fragmentation for mass mining applications. She is also involved in consulting projects related to long term behavior of underground waste repositories. Rima essentially uses FLAC, FLAC3D and 3DEC in her modeling work.
