Ground Support

Itasca conçoit la structure et les spécifications des soutènements nécessaires pour renforcer, retenir et retenir la masse rocheuse autour des excavations. Le niveau requis de soutènement peut être déterminé à partir d'une compréhension de la force de la masse rocheuse, des contraintes initiales (in situ) et des contraintes (magnitude et orientation) susceptibles de changer avec le temps. En prenant en compte l'évolution du stress induit au fil du temps, il peut être possible d'identifier des zones spécifiques autour de la mine où un soutien plus important ou un soutien secondaire peut être nécessaire.

Les éléments de support au sol (boulons d'ancrage, câbles, gaines, etc.) font partie intégrante de la plupart des logiciels Itasca. Itasca mène également des programmes d’instrumentation de conception pour valider et par la suite contrôler la conception de l’appui pendant la durée de vie de l’excavation.
